Our focus is on teaching gun fighting, not just gun safety. Most instructors teach people range safety, or how to be safe with a gun. Being safe with a gun does not win self-defense encounters; we teach how to survive a self-defense situation using a pistol. The skills we teach are derived from that combat mindset, rather than only teaching marksmanship and range safety. The basics of pistol function, safety and shooting fundamentals are important first steps, but alone are not enough to survive a gun fight.
